300-SDC effectively reduces noise and vibrations, enhancing comfort for passengers in commercial and private buses. As an interior coating, 350-TIC reduces heat transfer from sun into the internal environment of the bus.
Results
Cost of installation has been reduced and owners will not need to replace insulation every 2-5 years. This bus has become one of the quietest and coolest conversions in the market. LizardSkin OEM products have also enhanced the strength of the roof, thus removing noise from weather and wind. It has taken some of the hottest components of the vehicle and neutralized the thermal transfer. Continuous, seamless coverage protects substrates from rust and corrosion. The application is safe for in-house paint crews since the coating is low-VOC and water-based.

Seamless membrane characteristic of 350-TIC Thermal Insulating Coating enhances the insulating abilities because the coating covers not only the shell, but also support framing, which was not possible with the previous insulation solution. 3rd party testing done by this company also showed a drastic reduction in time to cool the interior from 98˚F to 78˚F per AMD-012 testing. Additionally, the company has found that the coating is easier to install and requires fewer man-hours to apply.

Reduce condensation and improve insulation and thermal protection
Results
By combining 350-TIC with a conventional foam insulation, the company has been able to provide condensation protection without having to reengineer anything because 350-TIC Thermal Insulating Coating sprayed on to the complex geometry of the internal shell. By preventing internal condensation, the conventional insulation was no longer susceptible to thermal performance degradation due to moisture and mold/mildew was no longer a concern. Because of the brutal conditions of the Arctic Circle, more coating was specified than would be needed in normal circumstances.
